Initial Evaluation:
The initial evaluation includes the following tests and services:
The BioSignature Hormonal Assessment
A Postural Analysis
A Structural Balance Assessment
An Orthopedic Assessment
The Design Process
Training Protocol
Diet
Supplement Recommendations
A review and education on the plan
The BioSignature Hormonal Assessment:
the novel concept of BioSignature was developed by world-renowned strength coach Charles Poliquin after noticing trends and correlations while working with athletes for nearly 30 years. BioSignature is a system based on scientific evidence that where people store their body fat is an indication of their hormonal profile. This means that your body fat levels and corresponding imbalanced hormones can be effectively managed through a combination of diet, exercise, a targeted supplementation program, and lifestyle modifications. For example, the thickness of a person's umbilical skin fold (your gut) is a direct reflection of cortisol (the stress hormone) output. Understanding the client's hormonal imbalances plays a critical role in creating an exercise, diet and supplement protocol directed at achieving the health goal in as short a time period as possible.
Postural Analysis:
deviations in good posture lead to improper joint wear, imbalances, trigger points and often lead to injuries and surgery. Measuring those deviations during the evaluation (including rounded shoulders and forward head posture) aid us in our design process for the purpose of correcting them.
Structural Balance Assessment:
measured by the client performing one-rep maximums for a range of exercises allow us to contrast the clients' performance to that of someone perfectly balanced. That contrast provides us the benchmarks necessary to identify potential areas of injuries which can be avoided and/or prevented.
Orthopedic Assessment:
literally, an assessment of the joints, Dr. Amstutz reviews the entire kinetic chain. The kinetic chain refers to the inter-relationship of the movement patterns within the major joints and how they affect one another. For example, low back pain maybe the result of the need for a slight adjustment in the right ankle; or, a slight adjustment in the same may result in the prevention of an injury to the low back.
The Design Process:
after collecting the necessary data, we go to work on your complete program. Considering all of the above analyses and assessments, along with your specific goals, we spend three to seven days designing your first training, diet and supplement protocol to be applied during 30-day period following your review.
The Review:
this final part of our initial evaluation process is a meeting in which one of our client relationship managers provides an in-depth explanation of our findings, our potential barriers to achieving the client's goals, our approach to training for the following 30-day period, as well as an education on the diet and supplements. The first review typically spans a full sixty minutes due to the volume and complexity of questions from a new client. The BioSignature and Review process are repeated every thirty days for the purpose of observing, measuring, and reacting to the progress of all of our clients.
